My name is Kristina Jones, I am an Internal Family Systems trained therapist who has been through my fair share of tough shit, and I’m here to help.

How Internal Family Systems Therapy works

IFS Therapy with me consists of 50-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you uncover your inner strength. And I don’t just sit there and listen blankly. I will guide you on this journey of meeting your parts and becoming more Self-led. Here’s how it will work step-by-step:

How Internal Family Systems Therapy Works

  1. First, we turn your attention inward and find a part of yourself that needs your help.

  2. Then we really focus in on this part in an effort to learn more about it.

  3. We flesh it out, getting to know some of its more basic information.

  4. Next, we test out how you're feeling toward it to make sure you're coming toward the part from a Self-led place.

  5. If you are, we befriend the part, learning more about what it does for you and your system as a whole.

  6. We find out some of the part's fears about letting go of their roles that might not serve the system so well.

After some time is spent getting to know all of your parts and having them learn to trust your Self, we begin the deeper work of unburdening them. Through trust in you, they can let go of some of your past hurts and move forward with even more resilience than before.
